Ø Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Ø Virus attacks and infects CD4 cells in the immune system that helps the body resist infection
Ø After entering, HIV takes over, and uses cells to manufacture more HIV, gradually killing the CD4 cells
Ø When the body can no longer fight off infections and cancers, the infection enters its final stage, AIDS!
